    Alarm List entity is used to help user manage alarm under the state of “In Alarm Unacknowledged”,” In Alarm Acknowledged”,” Normal Unacknowledged” and “Event”. On this entity user can monitor the occurred alarm, acknowledge the alarm, and view the history of the process alarm. It also provides alarm event type filter function to allow user easily to look for the alarm they want to trace. Alarm list table display those triggered alarm in different color code by follow the alarm priority and severity.

    Besides, users can also temporarily shelve alarms to keep nuisance alarms from interfering with the effectiveness of the alarm system. Shelving does not affect the operation of those alarms, they can still be monitored, acknowledged, and view the process history similar to non-shelved alarms.

    Alarm priority covers a range of severities from value 1 to 1000 to group the severities into different level of urgency to make it easy to identify. DM Alarm Management group alarm severities as below table.
